Betty Trotter is a mixed media artist who creates archival quality works on canvas using mixed media, found objects, and hand-made papers. Recently, she has been using a palette knife to create more impressionistic paintings. Growing up in Albermarle, NC and rural Stanly County, Betty was inspired early on by nature's beauty, especially the waters of Lake Tillery. As an elementary school teacher for over 15 years, she delighted in integrating art into every subject. Betty has made Greensboro her home for the last 27 years. She creates fresh art in her home studio, where she also enjoys teaching art lessons.
